We have the Hawks as two points better than the Hornets from the current spot. Accordingly, we are backing Charlotte +4.5.
The visiting Hornets have momentum on thier side, as Charlotte is 6-1 straight up and 5-2 ATS in recent outings. Atlanta, on the other hand, is a dismal 2-5 both absolutely and versus the number. Moreover, the Hornets are 16-13 ATS following a winning campaign, while the Hawks are 13-15 facing the same condition (both teams collected victories Friday). Also, Charlotte is 15-14 versus the number away from home, which compares favorably to Atlanta's 14-15-1 record at Philips Arena. And finally, the Hornets are 17-13-1 against betting line when cast as the underdog; the Hawks are 22-23-2 as favorites.
