The Celtics have been a disappointment this season, failing to cover both versus Brooklyn and at Chicago. On the other hand, Charlotte has beat the number as favorites in each of the two games the Hornets have played so far in this young NBA season. Tonight Charlotte-backers get the opportunity to receive points for siding with one of the hottest teams in the league (only three other franchises, Cleveland, Brooklyn and the LA Lakers, opened 2-0 ATS).
Our computer simulation work gives Boston a modest advantage -- less than a bucket -- this afternoon. As such, we are happy to take the three and support Charlotte to cover. Also though, consistent with the Hornet's penchant for keeping a lid on total scoring at home (Charlotte's O/U was 18-26 playing in their building last season), we like the under. We forecast an aggregate combined score of 201.
