Our work likes the Warriors by 6 at the Toronto Raptors this afternoon. Despite Golden State's 8-2 straight up record, the Warriors are a meager 4-6 versus the number so far this season. However, the bulk of their ATS losses materialized against gaudy, double-digit betting lines (the Warriors are 5-2 versus the number as favorites of 10 or more, but 2-1 laying single digits). We think this phenomenon speaks to a Warriors tendency to play up (or down) tot their competition. As such, we expect Golden State to demonstrate the mental acuity needed to muster the cover against a game Raptors squad (Toronto is 7-3 SU and ATS).
The Warriors are 6-3 ATS in their last nine games in Toronto, and 13-4 in the last 17 contests overall between these teams.
