Feb 26 NBA Action: When Good Teams Clash in Divisional Action

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Boston Celtics @ Toronto Raptors -4 Okla City Thunder @ Denver Nuggets -3 With the Bucks collecting the cover at Chicago yesterday, we continue our exceptional run since the allstar break! For Tuesday's three-game NBA schedule, the system in focus involves matchups between high-quality teams from the same division. Historically, in divisional action between teams with win rates of at least 60%, it has paid to back the home cover. This strategy had delivered a 7% return on investment since 2005, and is 9-6 ATS so far this season.

At the team level, we have noted the Raptors' ATS struggles this season on more than one occasion. However, Boston's 11-17-1 ATS road record is similar to Toronto's 13-18 ATS tally at home. The Celts are also 9-13 ATS off a loss. Additionally, Toronto has covered each of the last seven head-to-head home meetings with Boston. The Nuggets will enter Tuesday's contest riding a seven game cover streak against the Thunder, dating back to 2017. Denver also won its last four consecutive games SU, and covered the three of those four hosted at their Pepsi Center. The Mile High boys are also a lights out 21-9 ATS at home this season, 19-8 versus the number laying chalk in their building and 6-2 ATS facing teams in the Northwest Division. Conversely, while Oklahoma City is 6-3 ATS from the position of road dog this year, the Thunder are 9-11 ATS off a loss and 6-6 in the division. Happy betting!!
