Apr 5 NBA Action: Road Teams off Big Losses

Detroit +8.5 @ Oklahoma City

LA Lakers +11 @ LA Clippers

Our 'Fade home dogs, late' system has stole the NBA betting show down the final stretch of the regular season. And with five signals today alone, this approach may offer bettors all the action they can handle Friday. However, we observe indications from a different highly profitable late-season system, this time in support of teams taking points: the Pistons and the Lakers. Thus, we will be backing a couple of reasonably big dogs along with what has become our customary group of away favs.

Generally speaking, from game 72 through the end of the regular season road teams off a loss by at least 15 have been solid ATS bets in their next out. Teams are 180-129-8 ATS (58%) for an gaudy 14% return on investment (ROI) from this spot since 2005. When teams off a definitive loss face a decided winner next out (i.e. a team with a win rate of at least 55%), profitability improves to a 18% ROI, on a 61% cover rate.

This system is 6-1 ATS so far this year.

We also note that this approach has held up in intra-conference meetings, as well as in Divisional competition.

Separately, the line for the Pistons at the Thunder has tightened from its wides to the present 7 handle, likely on news that Blake Griffin is good to go for Detroit.

Happy betting!!
