Fading Knicks off Blowout, Upset Win vs. Bucks: Betting Cavaliers -3.5 -110

To our chagrin, the Knicks knocked off Giannis and the Milwaukee Bucks by 20 points Sunday, from the position of 13-point underdogs, no less (thus the Knicks covered by a massive 33-point margin...New York had not beat the number by 30 or better since April 2018 prior to this instance, and only accomplished such a feat eight times back to 2005).

History hints that the present marks a solid sell-high spot for the Knicks. In meetings between teams that both missed the last playoffs, dogs off 20-plus point wins have proven solid fades, delivering for a 16% return since 2005.

Worth mentioning, the 3-0 Cavaliers too are off a big surprise win. As 6-point underdogs, Cleveland dispatched the Sixers by a 24-point margin recently.

However, unlike the story for point-takers, favorites tend to cover at close to a 50% clip in action featuring two teams that missed the post-season and following the big win...so the Cavs' predicament is not necessarily concerning.
